This Chrysocolla Malachite Talisman is adorned with blue and green Kyanites, is copper wire wrapped, hammered, aged, polished. Comes with a settable length 66 cm long copper chain.

On the day I made Freyjas talisman, I was listening to Nordic Viking music. I really felt the way they felt and lived.
When someone mentions Vikings, the image of blond, stocky, horn-helmeted, blond-haired guys with swords and axes in their hands leaping out of a ship, ready to burn, loot and do all sorts of nasty things to anyone who gets in their way comes to mind.

But the truth is that raiding and pillaging was really only a fraction of the time that people spent in the Viking Age.
Vikings were mostly farmers. They grew mostly oats, barley and wheat, with the odd vegetable here and there. As in modern Norway, there were plenty of animals scattered around the countryside: pigs, cattle, sheep, horses, chickens, all the staples of European farms.

I can’t say that there are Viking motifs on this talisman, but the general look and feel is that of the strong Viking woman left alone at home with the children when her husband goes on a marauding voyage. The woman who protected her children and elders when attacked by strangers, hunted, kept house, tended animals and was a loving mother.

Item care: This item has been antiqued, so DO NOT use jewelry cleaning solutions on it or you will remove the polished patina. However, it can accumulate further tarnish – so try to limit contact with lotions, soaps or anything moist. Always make sure to remove jewelry before bed and never wear in the shower, swimming or anywhere else it may come in contact with water. If it becomes overly tarnished, you can use a jewelry polishing cloth to gently buff away any excess tarnish.
